A fine example of early Ching period soapstone carving with wonderful deep patina. Circa 1720. At one time the back was inscribed with calligraphy which has been largely rubbed off by some previous owner who could not resist the wonderful feel of the aged stone. It measures 8" high by 6". The price is $8,000.
