A Black Lacquer Kang Table.
19th Century elmwood kang table in as-found original condition. Made for the kang of a wealthy merchant with a solid top and sides. The carved apron and two circular medallions are typical of Shanxi carving, showing a geometric design entwined with vines. The measurements are: 37" long, 16" wide and 15" high. The price is $2400.
